Come to Withington for friendly and enjoyable golfing opportunities. It’s a great place to play whether you’re an established golfer or new to the game.

New members are quickly welcomed into the club and we take care to ensure that everyone is helped to get the very best golfing experience whatever their playing level.

We have a growing women’s golf section with members of all ages and abilities and we offer 6 and 7 day membership. There are lots of great competitions and events throughout the week. And, of course, social golf as well.  

Club competitions: We have weekly club competitions on Saturdays which are open to all 7-day members; Regular Tuesday 9-hole Stableford competitions in summer, with tee times up to 7pm; Thursday competitions which are Ladies only, with tee times up to 6pm in Summer, and some Sundays throughout the year.

Matches: The club enters many of the Cheshire and Manchester-wide competitions, including the East Cheshire Shield and Plate matches, Manchester and District Bell Cup, Business Ladies League, Elizabeth Wilson scratch knockout and the Scratch League.  

There is also a programme of Friendly matches with other local clubs, giving opportunities for all playing abilities to take part.

Social Golf: We run a number of social golfing events including informal ladies’

roll-ups every Sunday at noon and Tuesday at 11am (where you just turn up and play); an annual golfing weekend away and fun monthly mixed golfing events, played on Sundays or in the evenings.

Socials: It’s not just about the golf though. Other social events include formal and casual dinners, Quiz nights and much more.
